Fees for non-court referred cases will be by negotiation with the individual mediator chosen by the parties.
The fees are based on the total value of the dispute (claim plus any counter-claim) and the time the mediation is expected to take. Extension fees may be chargeable for any extra time agreed by the participants. There may also be venue hire costs, although these are often avoidable.
Please make sure you check with the mediator so there is no doubt what the fee will be. VAT will usually be charged in addition to the fee.
